Descripción:This work arises from the concern to meet again, in a text of Rodrigo Miró, a researcher from Panama, a representative corpus of which in this work we have called contact period, the sixteenth century, since it is not written by the area natives but by spaniards, who bring literary genres and create the coplas and romance with lexical references, experiences and context of the named New World. Corpus which was not analyzed in full but contextualized and transcribed by don Rodrigo Miró, and allows us, therefore, approach for the first time, from a literary reading of the verses to the turbulent and changing Panama of the specified period. Our approach aims to take two couplets and a fragment of romance and extract from them through a literary-historical analysis as much information as possible taking into account the limitations of space-time relationship with the research corpus.
