Περιγραφή: | India has traded since very ancient times; that fact is documented in archaeological rests at first, then in Sanskrit texts. The contact with ancient Greece and Rome took place through Persia, following the Silk Road, both through land and sea. This trade allowed the insertion of Sanskrit words in other languages, mainly Latin and Greek, and then indirectly to the Spanish language. Nowadays, we also find names derived from Sanskrit. Key Words: India, Greece, Rome, Silk Road, loan words. |
