The current situation of the language spoken in the Netherlands is analyzed here from three different perspectives: it is approached historically and semantically to c1arify the name of the language; a number of linguistic and literary ties with this language are discussed, with emphasis on the Spanish language and Central America; and the future of the Dutch language is addressed taking into account the past and present context of European languages, now that we are in a globalized world. |
