الوصف:Julia de Burgos, known as the national poet of Puerto Rico, expresses in her work a poetic thought in which the legacy of the German philosophers Kant and Nietzsche is perceived. For the analysis of some aspects of her poetry, it is possible to refer to the work of Gaston Bachelard, Water and dreams, where the author states that the poetic imagination can make images either from a formal causality or from a material causality. Bachelard prefers the poetics of the material imagination. And he finds that there are laws of the imagination in what ancient knowledge called the four elementary materials: water, air, fire and earth. In other books he writes about the earth, the fire, the air; in the aforementioned he deals with the poetic imagination of water; the dynamic soul that flows in the poetry of Julia de Burgos.
