Περιγραφή:Buyuk Menderes River basin, located in the Southern part of Turkey, has two significant dam lakes. Threats include pollution (industrial and agricultural activities), overfishing, habitat degradation and drought. This study was carried out to determine the native and non-native fish fauna in Kemer and Topcam dams lakes in the Buyuk Menderes River. Specimens were caught by scoop and gill nets between April 2007 and February 2008. Kemer is inhabited by Cyprinus carpio, Squalius cephalus, Barbus plebejus escherichi, Silurus glanis Acanthobrama mirabilis and Chondrostoma maendrense. In Topcam Dam has Cyprinus carpio, Squalius cephalus, Acanthobrama mirabilis and Capoeta bergama. Both had the invasive Lepomis gibbosus, Pseudorasbora parva and Carassius gibelio. Acanthobrama mirabilis is endangered fishes and Chondrostoma maendrense and Capoeta bergamae are two of the vulnerable species.KEY WORDSKemer, Topcam Dam Lake, Native, Exotic fish, Anatolia.
