Kuvaus:Hundreds of humans remains of the armed conflict in El Salvador have yet to be recovered. These remains belong to victims of assassination as well as to individuals killed in combat, on both sides of the conflict. They form part of the invisible map of our dead. In the following pages I will focus upon one case in particular, that of the recovery of the remains of my sister. She was a radio operator from the Armed Liberation Forces, killed in combat. The process of recovery of her remains was complex, something that has allowed me to shed light upon perceptions and imaginaries of the revolution, the war and the post-war periods.
