Description:This article arises from an exploratory research that studies, based on quantitative techniques, the political practices of the university population in Costa Rica and explores their perception of the relationship between politics and the communication platforms in particular. The analysis was done in the context of the results and perceptions of Costa Rica national elections in 2014 and approaches university students who commented about the relationship between their practices, their role in the elections and their perception of the role of the media in this political process motivated by the university context.
