| Omschrijving: | This article analizes to what extent an essay from the Guatemalan writer Clemente Marroquín Rojas, has exerted some influence in the writing process of the pamplet, Costa Rica Suiza Centroamericana, published by the Costa Rican professor Mario Sancho in 1934. The critic made by Sancho of the Costa Rican society of this period constitutes a key text of the Costa Rican intellectual history, and it became one of the main ideological sources for young intellectuals that funded the Centro para el Estu dio de los Problemas Nacionales in 1940, one of the basis for the further creation of the Partido Liberación Nacional (1951). |
