| Description: | The notion of the performative in Homer as a basic principie of his poetics is intoduced here, by means of an analysis of Horner's only reference to writing. Likewise some pre-homeric and post-homeric events are mentioned, such as Palamede's death, Nauplio's revenge and the evocation of the Greeksheroes by Helen, while these men are hidden inside the horse. |
