Descrição:The objective of this research was to analyze the extraction of nutrients in cocoa clones fruits (Theobroma cacao). The study was conducted in seven years old cocoa plantations in the localities of Katira, Guatuso and the Centro Agronómico Tropical de Investigación y Enseñanza (CATIE), Turrialba, Costa Rica, between the month of March and August of 2014. The experimental design used was completely random with three replicates; for the analysis, seeds and shell from three fruits were mixed separately to form a repetition of each of the seven cocoa clones selected by CATIE because of its tolerance to moniliasis (Moniliophthora roreri), quality and high yields. The obtained results showed that from one ton of dry seeds of this clones, including the shell of the fruit, it’s extracted between 33.45 to 37.80 kg of nitrogen and a range going from 40.35 to 50.64 kg of potassium (K), and phosphorus (P) in a range of 7.33 to 8.37 kg. The nutrient extraction order was: K>N>P>Mg>Ca>Mn>Fe>Zn>B=Cu.
