Descripción:This paper intends to highlight the contribution of the project Languages for International Communication of the Pacific Regional Center of the University of Costa Rica and its program English for Kids. Thus, the program analyzes two main components: the effect of the academic field trip as a didactic strategy and the results of the evaluation for extension activities carried out to both parents and students. The paper highlights the role of field trips as an effective strategy to practice the language outside the classroom, as well as the effects obtained by the participants thanks to the English courses the program has offered. The results show that the project has contributed to the existing desire of the population to acquire another language at an early age.
