Recreational Activities as a Pedagogical Strategy to Strengthen Learning in the Subject of Human Anatomy and Physiology

Descripción:The ludic element at the educational level has been considered a tool to enhance content through games. Playfulness is a means of transforming daily life, experiencing pleasure, and appreciating occurrences, distinguishing it as a source of spiritual, mental, and/or physical satisfaction. This fosters the promotion of skills, interpersonal relationships, and the development of an attitude to face various circumstances. The objective of this research focused on developing recreational activities as a pedagogical strategy to optimize learning in students taking the subject Human Anatomy and Physiology. The research design was qualitative and descriptive. The applied activities included question and answer trivia, crossword puzzles, dances, and musical and poetic compositions related to the subject topics. Subsequently, the perceptions of students taking the subject were collected at the Luis Napoleón Núñez Molina campus of ISFODOSU during the second quarter of 2022 in the hybrid modality It was determined through the applied questionnaire that the development of recreational activities as a pedagogical strategy resulted in significant learning, contributing to professional skills, knowledge, the development of problem-solving skills, decision-making, and the assimilation of new experiences through games. The students' performance was clearly favorable, translating into academic achievements and positive results in their evaluations.
