Occupational and Vocational Profile Descritions towards the Integration of Colombia´s Victims of Armed Conflict in Working Life. A Victims Case Study

Descripción:This document presents the results obtained from the application of the Karl Hereford InterestInventory to identify people´s vocational interests. This instrument was applied to a group of60 victims of the Colombian armed conflict linked to the “Victims Unit”, Bogotá headquarters,in order to establish a relationship between the programs and job opportunities offeredby this institution. Then, a description of the different vocational options, competencies,characteristics and their most relevant skills is made: the main results show a strong tendencyfor mechanical (28%) and numerical interests (10%) aimed at professions or activities suchas engineering, general mechanics, as well as professions or activities in finance, accounting,administration, and social relations.
