Description:This paper addresses the major challenges of human mobility in the context of the adverse impacts of climate change on contemporary international relations, especially from the perspective of legal and operational gaps that exist to address the needs of people who are forced to cross an international border by a sudden disaster or slow onset events. To this end, the paper examines some frameworks and international initiatives, effective practices and some challenges related to the multidimensional phenomenon of human mobility in the context of climate change, which current scientific evidence shows that disasters and the effects of climate change displaced an average of 26 million people each year between 2008 and 2015.
