The present article analyzes the construction of the ceremonies of inauguration of the President in Costa Rica, between 1906 and 1936, as a political ritual developed by the political elite to legitimize its power and position of privilege before the Costa Rican society.
El presente artículo analiza la construcción de las ceremonias de toma de poder en Costa Rica, entre 1906 y 1936, como un ritual político desarrollado por parte de la élite política para legitimar su poder y posición de privilegio ante la sociedad costarricense.
