Neuro-Behavioral Profiles in Engineering in Costa Rica. Proposal for a Theoretical and Neuro-Inductive Model of Professional Profiles

| Descripción: | The article analyzes various neuro-behavioral profiles of engineers from different areas in Costa Rica. First, the research consisted in detailing the demographic data that allows structuring these professionals’ general profile, analyzed from a neuro-behavior approach. Later, research was done on associative and behavioral variables, which allowed generating behavior approaches of the subjects under study to determine the possible neuro-behavioral profiles. The article considers multiple branches and engineering approaches and addresses issues such as the demographic profile and behavioral aspect of the professionals. The methodology is based on the analysis of the field data collected. The analysis was conducted with 132 engineers in Costa Rica. The sample was processed using an infinite population methodology since it is very difficult to precisely define an exact population of active engineers. The discussion addresses descriptive data such as age, gender, and marital status to structure a profile of the professionals and, later, analyze them using associative and behavioral variables. Given the above, it is possible to establish neuro-behavioral profiles through processes such as neurochemicals and cerebral and synaptic lobes. Furthermore, it is feasible to obtain results that allow differentiating neuro-behavioral profiles of professionals using a mathematical function. These contain relationships such as decision-making, personality, analytical capacity, and social circles. It is permissible to conclude that engineers have outstanding elements, such as post-synaptic analytical processes, associated with analytical thoughts' importance. Similarly, variables such as analytical capacity and decision-making are especially defining patterns and profiles of behavior. |
