Descripción: | Research centers have an important role in the scientific area and a direct impact on thecommunity they are located. It is clear that in many cases this impact and the relationshipbetween them appears unnoticed and is not valued. There are many ways to integrate both:centers and community in scientific tourism. This article describes the reality of two researchcenters, one in Brazil and one in Costa Rica. Both centers and communities where they are, show important features to take into account when relating them to an activity such as scientifictourism. These features are described in detail and seek to launch a process that comes to atheoretically supported proposal later. |
