Descripción: | This project simulated confinement scenarios that seek to analyze different shapes of the plasma cross section and thus affect the beta parameter in a low aspect ratio spherical tokamak such as MEDUSA-CR. In addition, it seeks to design systems for operation and diagnosis in this device. Finally, in this project we propose a unique proof-of-principle experiment using RF antennas to induce Alfvén waves in a spherical Tokamak. Simulations of plasma interactions with RF and ECRH electromagnetic waves allow exploring optimized heating scenarios in this device that are also of interest to the scientific community because high temperature is an essential requirement for fusion processes. |
