Urgent action is needed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate impacts. In recent years, Costa Rica has positioned itself internationally as a ‘green’ country that embraces nature-based solutions and sustainable development. Costa Rica has also made clear efforts to address climate change through its Decarbonization Plan1 and a National Adaptation Plan;2 however, these plans do not include specific measures to protect and improve health through climate change action. |
