Sustainable development. Applicability and its trends

Descripción:This article aims to develop a journey around the concept of sustainable development, starting with the antecedents that precede its generation, analyzing its definition and implications, and then identify its components: social, economic and ecological. Their analysis is deepened through different approaches: contextual, conceptual, disciplinary and geopolitical; Establishing its limitations in the clarity of the concept and its applicability. It emphasizes the types of sustainability, very strong, strong and weak and the influence that the current economic system has had to determine the type of interrelation between the different components of the system, highlighting the preponderant role that conservation of the ecological system must have as Supplier of the inputs that allow to enhance the social and economic system. Likewise, it analyzes the substantial differences between sustainability and sustainability, delving into their origin and meaning. Finally, a brief analysis is made on the implications of climate change and the mitigation and adaptation measures that need to be taken to respond to a growing problem that threatens the reach of what is known as sustainability.
