Kuvaus:The Costa Rica Stellarator 1 (SCR-1) is a small magnetic confinement device Modular stellarator type used for researching high-temperature plasmas and low density, the first in Latin America. [1]. The purpose of this work is to design a device capable of experimentally measuring precisely the electron density of the plasma. This is why it is intended to design a heterodyne microwave interferometer, one of the first experimental diagnoses used to measure this parameter, due to to its high reliability. [2] In this document, the optimal operating frequency is calculated, together with its respective maximum lag. In addition, a block diagram of the system is presented, that emphasizes the specification of each of the components of the design and in turn it will be support to carry out a power balance and an analysis of the theoretical behavior signal throughout the system. It was concluded that the system meets the requirements necessary for its implementation.
