Descrição:This study presents some biases and subjective beliefs found in the responses to three probabilistic tasks in a sample of Costa Rican 6th grade primary school students. The percentage of correct responses to each item and the choice of different distractors are presented, and some similarities and differences with the results obtained in previous studies are shown. The analysis of the resolution strategies reveals the presence of equiprobability bias, outcome approach, positive and negative recency, belief in physical factors that influence probability, and consideration of little difference between favourable and possible cases as equiprobability.
