Descripció:Given the socio-environmental crisis, it is necessary to appeal to society by promoting forms of empathetic connection with nature. This study explores the creation of graphic humor as a means of addressing this issue in high school, from an approach that aims to sensitize, raise awareness, and promote perspective-taking and multimodal communication. An analysis of 65 graphic humor pieces created by adolescents aged 12 to 18 was conducted during three workshops held at high schools in Argentina. Findings suggest that adolescents demonstrated a strong commitment to speaking out against the lack of environmental empathy. In their narratives, the problem played a central part, highlighting the roles of victims (animals and plants) and villains (humans). To achieve this, personification was the most used resource. Some works included explicit guidelines (rules), while others managed to detach from the regulatory framework, creating humorous incongruities and drawing on implicit and figurative meanings
