Description:Pesticides are highly used in Costa Rica especially in the Caribbean Region where numbers of banana plantations are located. Different studies have been conducted in the country especially in this region. The following research summarizes the scenario of the occupational exposure to pesticides in Costa Rica presented in studies conducted during the years 1999 to 2014. A comparison within the health effects and the pesticides in the banana plantations of the Caribbean Region of Costa Rica is also given.
