Descripción:This study presents the validation of a scale designed to assess how university students perceive the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in learning activities. A short 10-item questionnaire was administered to 156 engineering students using a response scale that captures different levels of agreement. The results show that the instrument is reliable and consistent, meaning that the questions work together coherently and effectively measure a single underlying idea: students’ attitudes toward the use of AI in the classroom. In simple terms, the scale can capture whether students find these tools useful, engaging, and motivating for their learning. In addition, responses tended to be highly positive, indicating a favorable disposition toward the use of AI. However, this also suggests the need to refine the instrument to better distinguish between different levels of enthusiasm. Overall, the proposed scale is a practical and easy-to-use tool that can support teachers and researchers in understanding how these technologies are received in educational settings and in making informed decisions about their integration into teaching practices.
