| الوصف: | The purpose of this article is to analyze the meaning of the iconic television series Space Invaders, released in 2013, within the context of the novel with the same title. References to the memories of the children who lived under the dictatorship form the solid foundation of Space Invaders. Thus, memory plays a fundamental role, as demonstrated by the theories of Todorov, Didi-Huberman,and critics such as M. Peller and L. Amaro, among others. Frequent references to the media are another recurring theme in this book, as are references to games and dreams. Fernández’s writing explores uncomfortable territories with a focus on the so-called “second generation,” seeking to give a prominent place to the forgotten and marginalized. To achieve this, the author uses a variety of discursive styles, all of which were prevalent during the period depicted in the novel. |
