Descripción:The present study shows the evolution of COVID-19 in the 15 Oceanian countries up to 11/14/2021. The study analysed available data from online sources, e.g. “Satista”, John Hopkins University, and datosmacro.expansion.com. Results show that Oceania has been the least affected continent by the health crisis provoked by SARS-CoV-2, due to its geography as islands, little contact with the surrounding countries, and low population density (< 5 inhabitants per km2). Nevertheless, little vaccination progress and tourism opening could trigger an increase of infections and deaths. The small countries of the region have inadequate health care systems. This study recommends the WHO to closely observed these “living laboratories in Oceania”.
