Disgrifiad:This essay analyzes the concept of the body the gender theory perspective and feminismsaccording to authors such as Butler, Gagallo and others. The implications of these concepts and their implications in the world of the dancer-performer and in relation to the dichotomous reading of gender are analyzed. This analysis is made from my interpretations as a dance teacher at the Tecnológico de Costa Rica. The main conclusion of this article argues that dance reproduces the heteronormative discourse and the implications. This results in the evidence of a necessary attention in pedagogical processes and choreographic composition that is free of violence towards bodies, as well as a vigilant critical reading of artistic discourses. The body, the dance and feminisms are political entities of resistance and generators of knowledge in the Costa Rican public university.
