Description:The objective of this study is to understand the psychosocial factors that influence uicidal behaviors in the rural communities of Ometepe. A qualitative methodology based on the study of multiple cases that occurred between 2018-2022 has been used. The main risk factors identified have been family conflicts, poverty, loss of ethical values, lack of personal skills, lack of mental health services and alcohol addiction.
