Descrizione:Excavations in the Caribbean region of Costa Rica from the upper Miocene Alto Guayacán beds,are yelding a diverse sharks fauna. Several of the teeth thus far recovered are referred to Isistius triangulus, andare the second found recorded of this species in the New World. Detailled descriptions of the microteeth morphology and paleoecological inference are given.
