| Описание: | Drawing on contributions from psychoanalysis, particularly Sigmund Freud’s notion of sublimation, whereby repressed desire finds indirect forms of expression through symbolic language, and Georges Bataille’s propositions regarding the way eroticism entails a transgression of the limits imposed by rationality and social norms, this study analyzes the erotic symbols present in the narrative works of Arturo Martínez Galindo (Honduras, 1900–1940) and their function as cultural configurations that reveal tensions between the conscious and the unconscious, the corporeal and the spiritual. Arturo Martínez Galindo’s work operates as a system of meanings that makes it possible to understand not only the representation of male desire and women, but also how these elements expose social codes that remain unchanged over time. |
