Description:This paper aims to summarize the main theories from sociocultural or institutional approach to encourage the creation of new businesses. Given this context, it raised the importance of the theoretical study of the factors that influence decision making in the development of new businesses and how that process is affected by the environment in which they operate. The research method used is to review the existing literature by analyzing the major theories involved in the creation of companies emphasizing the sociocultural approach. The analysis concludes about how the activity of entrepreneurship has encouraged the creation of companies, being an important factor in economic development
