Opis: | This article studies violence produced by high school students at two premises. One is an academic high school and the other is a vocational one, both in are located in an urban-marginal setting. Both case studies are made considering students and teachers opinions. I analyze adolescence and violence as linked structurally to social bonds and power relations. The information obtained led to an analysis of the institutional climate and to understand how students and teachers use violence as a form of resistance and coercion. Because the educational system reproduces social order, students are limited in ways to address their malaise; therefore violence is a form of empowerment and resistance. Therefore, relations between students and the institution are studied introducing elements like contingency, empowerment and socialization. |
