實物特徵:This paper discusses the literature of the self, particularly autofiction, as a crucial literary field for exploring the complexity of subjectivity and human emotions. Through the analysis of Tiembla, memoria, by Catalina Murillo (2016), it examines how this work represents the vicissitudes of love, while offering a critique of contemporary social dynamics that shape affective relationships. The narrator, Cata, constructs her identity through writing, using paratexts (title, title page, dedication) and the narrative strategy of self-doubling, elements that allow her to explore her process of self-discovery and emotional reconstruction after a failed love affair. This love experience and her subsequent disillusionment are essential to the writing of the narrator, who through autofiction reconfigures her identity and heals her pain. The paper underscores the importance of continuing to delve deeper into epic literature in Costa Rica, as well as in other latitudes, in order to enrich approaches to emotions and subjectivities in autofictional narrative. Finally, it highlights that narration can function as a tool to activate memory, reconstruct the self and heal emotional wounds, which gives characters (and readers) the possibility of redefining their experiences and identity through the creative act of writing.
