| Miêu tả: | Searching for future possibilities in the production of hydroelectric energy in Costa Rica, the site known as Dos Montañas represents one of the most places to develop a hydropower project. This study determines the rock mass quality of the site, the calculus of support pressure, not only for the roof, bur also for walls from underground excavations. It also includes support recommendations for water tunnels taken into account rock mass quality, diameter of the tunnel and its purpose. Finally, empirical criteria for rupture are used to estimate the failure envelope of the rock mass. |
