To be or not to be a refugee in the Spanish asylum system

| Deskribapena: | This article aims to analyze the incidence of the asylum procedure in Spain on the protection status of the displaced person, from a qualitative methodology based on in-depth interviews with asylum seekers and ngo technical staff. The research work carried out between 2014 and the end of 2019, points out as the main result the constriction of the refugee figure to the outcome of the procedure, as opposed to the self-perception based on the Refugee Statute. |
