Description:The present essay analyzes the importance of the eye and the gaze in the poetry of Octavio Paz through the use of different metaphors and synesthesias which favor the idea of poetry as a space in movement or words in rotation. Likewise, for Paz, the creative process and love are two significant topics that can be apprehended through the gaze and optical textuality.
