Subsequently, the implications and boundaries between cultural diversity and social inequality are discussed, as well as the possible risks of confusing diversity with poverty, due to the possibility of generating indifference and justifying exclusion and marginalization simply as different lifestyles. Finally, through a case study, the way in which intercultural competencies can be developed in school projects is exemplified through the pedagogical methodology of service-learning, considering it as an educational tool for the promotion of diversity.
