Description:The objective of this paper is to analyze how the Costa Rican press, especially the two most important newspapers La Información and La Prensa Libre, gave coverage to the Russian Revolution during 1917. It is suggested that the way of reporting was different if the experience of February with October, bearing in mind that for the press, the first represented a democratic revolution while in October disorder and anarchy were promoted. Likewise, it is necessary to keep in mind that on Russia, compared to other scenarios of the First World War, the information that was available was smaller, this being taken into account when their participation was in danger in the fight against Germany and the other central powers.
