Disgrifiad:This study employs Statistical Implicative Analysis (ASI) to investigate how first year students enrolled in the Biochemistry degree at the Faculty of Exact and Natural Sciences and Surveying (UNNE) approach problem situations involving linear and quadratic functions. The objective is to identify conceptual associations and quasi implications among the tasks in a specially designed investigative instrument. To achieve this, a task similarity analysis was performed using a similarity tree, followed by an examination of quasi implications represented in an implicative graph. The theoretical and methodological framework draws on the Onto Semiotic Approach to mathematical knowledge and instruction, as well as on Statistical Implicative Analysis. Among the most significant findings, it is noteworthy that the incoming students demonstrate the ability to recognize and connect multiple registers of functional representation and to interpret contextualized functional graphs accurately and meaningfully.
