Descripción:This work aims to analyze the problem of how to overcome depression according to Spinoza's philosophy. Its central problem involves constructing a concept of depression in accordance with this philosopher's affective theory. To achieve this, the method used will be conceptual analysis, which will be combined with a comparative analysis of two distinct texts by the author. As a result, the work will go through five argumentative stages, directed at discussing the relationships between depression and knowledge, with the ideas of the body that Spinoza exposes, with the conatus, with the genetic definition, and with the possible answers to the article's central question. Finally, the conclusion reflects on the relevance of introducing a new concept into an author's work.
