Oocysts are shed by cats (Jewell et al. 1972) and in the soil they are extremely resistant to environmental conditions (Frenkel el al. 1975). Oocys t infection occurs by fecal oral oontamination and may involve transport hosts such as house flies (Wallace 1971) or cockroaches (Wallace 1972). |
