الوصف:This article analyzes the metaphors of the seascape in Homer's Iliad as a cultural landscape, while determining its functions and meanings in the future of the actions exposed in the poem. Four key aspects are analyzed: the sea as a divine force, emotional metaphor, symbol of power and representation of death. The objective is to demonstrate how these metaphors enrich the narrative by transmitting emotions and philosophical reflections or psychological expressions. Furthermore, Homer's ability to use the fickle nature of the seascape as a narrative component is highlighted to add depth to the work and offer perspectives on universal themes such as death, anguish or oblivion.
