Descrizione:Objective. The objective of this study was to adapt and validate the Cuestionario de Sucesos Vitales (CSV) in the Ecuadorian context. Method. The study design was instrumental, and 417 adults participated (M = 37.1; SD = 8.67). Results. Confirmatory factor analysis showed that the CSV has a seven-factor structure, reduced to 33 items, with optimal goodness-of-fit indices and adequate reliability. Convergent validity, using a structural model of relationship with other variables, revealed that life events are positively related to depression and anxiety. The CSV-33 demonstrates adequate validity and reliability for assessing life events in Ecuadorian adults.
