| Omschrijving: | A checklist of 42 stony coral species (Milleporina, stylasterina and Scleractinia), for the coral reefs of the Campeche Bank, Mexico, is presented. This list includes 16 new records of stony corals for Ihe Campeche Bank: one milleporid, one stylasterid and 14 scleractinian species. The presence of Colpophyllia breviserialis, Manicina areolata and Solenastrea sp., previously recorded by other authors, was not corroborated. Taxonomic work. wilh regional comparative research, is needed to improve management. |
