Popis:In 2018, Nicaraguan society experienced one of its most severe socio-political crises. These events were characterised by systematic and widespread state repression against various dissident manifestations of civil society. This article aims to propose the adoption of counter-forensic methodologies to explore intersections between architecture, violence, and memory, using the para-state attack on July 13 and 14, 2018, against members of the university community of the National Autonomous University of Nicaragua, Managua, as a case study. This essay suggests that the State, in spatially planning its actions, also uses non-human entities to inflict terror, according to the narratives of some survivors, spatial analysis, and digital archives. In this way, the linear relationship between perpetrator and victim is surpassed.
