| Descrizione: | In this work we gather some thoughts about Peruvian masonry at the beginnings of the republic. First, we clarify the uses of the word “lodge” in the post-independence period according with documents of that era. Secondly, we examine the carácter of masonic institution in Peru using data on the organization of masonic lodges and other masonic organisms, their membership and public performance. |
