Descrizione:Resilience is a key concept of our time. It presents the favorable mood dispositions, indispensable to overcome the traumatic situations that occur in human life. The authors of this essay find that these teachings and practices are applicable to people who live with severe disabilities and propose to incorporate this resource into strategies to empower and dignify those who live deficiencies that limit their perception and participation in social context where they live in. To substantiate this attitude beyond an individualistic voluntarism, they incorporate it into the framework of a theory of human needs and capacities, which assumes the existential analysis of Frankl and his search for meaning, among other authors, who in their opinion come to strength the line of resilience to the experience of disability.
