الوصف: | The classroom constitutes a dynamic and diverse space where the interactions determine the student’s opportunity to learn. Therefore, this research aims to characterize the perspective of Basic General Education teachers regarding the negative and challenging behaviors of second-cycle students upon their return to face-to-face classes. Moreover, the authors used a descriptive, non-experimental qualitative approach, through an episodic interview with 24 professors from different departments in the province of Talca, Chile. Regarding the results, they indicate difficulty in differentiating the negative challenging conducts from other disruptive ones inside the classroom. Likewise, the authors reveal the use of strategies that address the emotional area of the students, which could be a consequence of the virtual educational experience or a reactive response from teachers to the academic gaps of their students. The study proposes professional challenges linked to reflexive practice, collaborative work, innovation, and communications with families. Research possibilities emerge aimed at investigating the didactic and evaluative competencies of teachers to address these behaviors and promote the academic retention of students. |
