Description:In the Classical World, it is very difficult to establish a dividing line between suicide and kairothanasia, considered by someone as the opportune death. Although there is a long list of suicides, especially political ones, most of the cases accepted so far as suicides among the elderly could be considered to be the practice of kairothanasia. It is due to different connotation of the idea that the decision to commit suicide appears because of the conclusion that life cannot be enjoyed without a minimum of mental and physical ability to make it worth living
